Anyone Watching Festival of Remberance

Is Anyone watching the Festival of Remberance at the Royal Albert Hall? I am watching it and I find it so emotional and it was something I always used to watch with my late grandfather. I get sad that so many people my age don't want to think about all the people that have fought in both the wars.
What has made me sad and angry while watching this is that Prime Minister Gordon Brown is sitting there, I hope he feels sick inside and feels guilty as he is sending our British troops...

I know how to get Jedward sent home!!!!!!!!!

Spent this morning baking Christmas cakes, yum, and have done all the ironing, which I hate. This afternoon I thought, Great I have time to make some Christmas cards. So got my stuff out, spread it about and what happens, nothing!! Couldn't decide what to do with any of it. How come you can have stacks of stuff and still go blank. You would think all that lovely stuff would have you turning out tons of cards wouldn't you. So now have packed it all away. It's so frustrating!!!...

As I have already said, Heather and I had a brilliant time at the NEC. However, there was one thing that did get a bit annoying....trolleys. Now I have no problem with them normally, I took mine along. But I left it in the cloakroom. Some people had huge ones with them, or were wearing backpacks , and they just weren't looking where they were going. Obvious really, there was so much good stuff to look at. It has been a VERY long time since I posted on the sheeny site. Since I last posted I have had a baby boy called Cameron James weighing eight pound nine! a big differnce to his big sister who was two pound one and half and eight weeks early. I went to term after many early scares of him trying to make a break for it haha but i went one day over and thanks to clary sage oil he arrived. I only had one shot of pethadine near the very beginning so I could get some rest but...

Youngest grandie, Miss Bethany is 2 next week (going on 35) she hurt her knee and my daughter has said she (the little one) is trying to kiss it better, gets so far then topples over - shes done it 4 times now rofl

Hi Guys, Just arrived back with from the NEC, tired and broke, but very happy. Bought lots of nestability pendants, lots of card, NO stamps, plus other bits and pieces but the main purchase for both of us (we got one each) was a Foiling machine. The question is, what laser printer to buy to go with it, We have been recommended to get the Brother HL2030 or HL2035 but not sure as we particularly want to be able to print on to a reasonable weight card. Any advice would be greatly...

This has absolutely nothing to do with craft, at least not the card-making sort, but I hope someone among you will be able to help. I want to replace my tatty old tinware bun tins with some new silicone ones in time to make my Christmas mince-pies , but despite searching hard all I can find in silicone are MUFFIN tins which are too deep and too wide or too expensive, or all three. Well i just trimmed them and amazingly he was well behaved. Now normally he turns into Cujo, even Pets at home with three of them holding him down couldn't do it. They had got to the point where they were curling so steps had to be taken. i tried a special drill like thing recently that is supposed to do them gently and nearly had my thumb bitten off for the pleasure! So this time Aidan held him, i cut them and he behaved!!!! I haven't taken too much off for now and will do a bit more...

New dog

We went to the rspca kennels this morning and got our dog. His mane is Zacc and he's almost all white except for around his face and ears. He's been in kennels for about a year and is only 18 months old. He's never had a good home as he had to be taken away from his previous owners through the court. He's very nervous but is already getting more relaxed and even managed a short walk this afternoon. Am going to put some pics on my profile now. Will be there in a few mins.

My miniature schnauzer Millie has woken up lame in her left front paw today. She hasn't done anything to it and was fine when we went to bed last night. The vet couldn't find anything amis apart from the joint feelin a little hot and just gave us some anti- inlfammatories for her. Grandson's 18th Birthday Card

Swine Flu jab?

Anyone else had this yet? Any reaction?
I had mine this morning. I had the normal flu jab on Thursday (didn't want to have both together) and noticed nothing. OH had an achy arm. I told the nurse I had been fine and she told me after my jab that I might get a reaction to this one tomorrow, like when you think you are just coming down with the flu. She had had hers yesterday and felt like that today.
I can't pick my arm up this time already and my chest/breathing has gone...
