Please can you all give me your opinions on these die cutters. I am really stuck as to which one to go for?

I like the things you can create with ease on the Cricut, but I like the fact you can emboss on the Cuttlebug. I don't know if the Cricut is worth the
money.

Please can someone help me decide.

All your comments will be appreciated.

Hi, SCAL stands for Sure Cuts Alot by Craft Edge which is a programme that lets you cut fonts and shapes from your pc on the cricut. I think you can use it on
the small cricut but if you google it you should find the site so you can have a look. Its made by a different company to the cricut and I don't know
anyone who has used it.

Is it any good Playingwith paper? I'd love to know a bit more about it

I'm currently saving up for a Circut Expressions. I am hoping to become a Primary School teacher in the future so feel that it will be great for this and
my scrapbooking.

The great thing about the Expressions machine over the Original is that you can put a whole 12x12 paper on to the cutting mat, and thats not all the machine
comes with a large mat that this also!!!

The Expressions comes with two cartridges Plantin (Font) and a Shape Cartridge (cannot remember the name)...

I'm very tempted by the Cricut but I already have a Cuttlebug and Craft Robo, both of which I'd love. I have to say I'd get both (don't hit
me). You can get a Cuttlebug for between £55-£60, which isn't a great deal more than a Cricut cartridge (when bought in this country at least). So one
month/quarter instead of getting a new cartridge buy the Cuttlebug, and then use it for embossing and the Cricut for cutting.

Although I dont have a cuttlebug, I have a wizard and very pleased with it, I think it depends on how much cards you make? Since the cricut costs a lot.!!!! I
would go for the Cuttlebug any day, the dies are more affordable!(I use the embossing folders with my wizard)

Myself am a person that thinks that the less buttons and electricity involved, the longer it will last, and I dont make that much cards either....

I bought my Cricut from the US for £85 plus £15 shipping. I did not pay any import duties. My husband fitted a lead to it so that it works with our electric
supply, apparently it is called a figure 8 lead which is in fact is the same as any old lead that you have for a radio or cassette player. This works a treat
and avoids the need for an adaptor. I love my Cricut and use it most days. I have just today received two more cartridges from the US for £54 all in, with
again no extra charges.
