Well, we met when I was 16 , got engaged at 17 ,Married at 18 ,and had our first child at 19. We will be married 50 years this June. I think Toleration of each other is the key, but an Aunt of mine once said that it was healthy to have arguments in a marraige as it meant that you were communicating. l met my OH when l was just 15, l didn't go out with him right away although he did used to wink at me every time l walked past him. married him at just 17 which was almost 43 years ago. l wasn't old enough to go in pubs so have never really got into the pub culture. We had no money but mum gave us a fiver and we went to my cousins pig farm in Wrexham for our hooneymoon. We spent our time walking or visiting relatives in the area.l returned home pregnant so we must have done something...

I have been with my current love buddy for 20 years
he still lives in Ascot
I think its too late for me now,I think it would be for all the wrong reasons

Met my hubby in the pub that was my local when his local ran out of beer! That was sometime in 1981. He and his mates decided they liked our local better than theirs so they kept coming. Knew first OH since I was 10 as he was my brother's mate but got together with him in 1978 in Australia while there on holiday. He & my brother emigrated in 1967. Got engaged Feb 1979 and married (in UK) in Sept 1980. Split April 1992.

Met Derek August 93, engaged February 94 and married August 1995. Best thing I ever did.

John started school the same day as me. He was my best friend's "boyfriend" all through primary school!

We all went to the same secondary school and somehow everything changed the last part of my fifth year. We were engaged at eighteen, married at nineteen.

I think it was when we all missed the bus and had to walk miles home with him telling jokes all the way.

Following on with another valentine subject, how long did you know your OH before you got married?

I was married within six months of meeting Robin (engaged after four weeks) and my auntie insisted on talking to my stomach for the first few months as she was convinced that was the reasons for the "rush" lol
