Same here. Trimmer is rubbish but everything else is great. And I too love the fact that I can easily make the envelo-boxes. Wouldn't part with my ultimate

I dont use the trimmer of mine either - but the board - BRILLIANT. Love the fact that for decoupage cards you can make the envelo-boxes . That is an ingenious
idea and since I do a lot of decoupage its so useful

Nic,

I have had the same problem. I spoke with Crafters companion at the NEC and they gave me 2 more blades to try - still not much better but I love the board so
much and have had so much use out of it - it is irrelevant. I would rather use my paper trimmer anyway as I mainly use the outsides of the board there fore it
is mainly closed.

If anyone else is reading this - please do not allow the fact the the trimmer is naff put you off buying the board.

Thanks for the replies Hilary and San. I have contacted crafters companion and they said they will replace the blade but havent received it yet, and not
even sure it will cut card. The blade i have is sharp, it cuts through paper ok but will not cut all the way through even the thinest of my cardstock let alone
300 gsm! I think the problem is that they have changed the design of the blade used for health and safety reasons and i dont think it is now long enough to cut
through anything...

Hadn't tried the cutter till you asked .......wouldn't go right through 300gms but cut 250gms card OK, sounds like the tip of yours is damaged
and re the tools, there's nothing to slot them into other than the seperate sections of the holder so they will move about slightly.

I have the Ultimate and have used the trimmer to cut through pearlescent card and mirri card. Maybe you were unlucky and had a blunt cutting tip or whatever
it is in a trimmer. I would get in touch with Sara, I'm sure she would help. I've always found her to be lovely when I've had a queery. Hilary
