I have only just come back on since this morning and hooray!! the adverts have gone. Well done Joanna. Like many others I thought it was me and decided that if I turned off the computer it might go away. As you can tell I am a little ignorant when it comes to technical stuff .

Thanks for telling us that - I'm in a hotel in Madras and thought it was the hotel internet connection - as I am gettng bombarded with various Indian adverts!!!! Was just about to complain!! Winnie x

Thanks for the link Sue! I have done it and it worked and has stopped all those ads I kept getting on Hotmail as well as the ads on here. I do sympathise Joanna, hopefully they will sort it out soon. It must be very frustrating!

I am a really calm gentle person truly I am - but aghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh seeing other craft suppliers being advertised is doing my head in

but I guess you have to see the funny side of it - bet they are all laughing!

Hopefully we can find out what's happening soon - Yuku win prizes for not communicating

Thats google add-words for you..... they use the context of the site to find suitable adds

I have got rid of mine. I use Firefox and last week I installed an add-on called NoScript, which meant I could just click on the icon on my toolbar and choose not to allow GoogleAds - so it disappeared.

The NoScript add-on is to protect PC's against much nastier things than ads, but it came in handy!

Details of NoScript
