i do encaustic art when i can unfortunately the arthritis makes using the iron difficult as it is a bit heavey but it does produce some interesting effects. I can't draw to save me life .

well fancy that Marion,weston super mare is on our to visit plans this year hubby likes the cheddar gorge,will let you know when we are intending visiting,my son is left handed and can paint leaves ok,l think onestroke painting is ok but l struggled with the roses,which are fine now,l love ross singltons style of roses easier and a more free flowing style, you can teach yourself with videos or dvds,but do understand some need that one to one which im happy to do,my grandaughter picked it up...

I have a couple of kits and extra paints waiting to have a go. I think they will be used on some 'shabby chic' furniture we are working on painting in France, when I can master doing it. Have a big wardrobe (earmarked for the kitchen) basecoated cream ready and waiting! I love DDs work and her approach. So glad that she will be back on TV again.

I used to love watching Donna when she was on Qvc.
Would love to have a go at that painting technique.
I mainly used to do glass and ceramic painting and some charcoal sketching, before I discovered
Joanna's Cd's and decided to start card making. Joanna was my main inspiration to start card
making and then watched her shows when she water-coloured some of her stamped images.
That started my stamp craze!
My bank balance has not bee the same...

Oh Annie!! Do you have any plans to come to Weston on holiday this year? I've been hoping to find a Donna Dewberry teacher for a couple of years but seems there isn't anyone in this area. Bought paints, brushes and a book and decided to teach myself but (and I blame it on being left-handed) the results were just dire!! Let's hope Donna's forthcoming tv appearance will indeed spark new interest in this method of painting and a teacher will magically appear in this part of the...

I got hooked on it when Donna appeared regularly on QVC buying everything she bought over. I have some lovely bits that I've decorated, and made presents etc for people. I've sold quite a few bits too. I haven't incorporated it in my cards, as yet, but I do love to do it. Jacqui x

I took certification too in the same weekend. Small world isn't it? I don't paint anymore,which is a shame really.I did take a Ross Stallcup class when she was over here as I like her style better,softer lines and a lot more realistic.

Hi Joanna ,yes l was there at centre parks in sherwood forest,it was the start of my passion for painting tho l have learned other styles now,,, l think onestroke is good for a first time painter,ive painted allsorts from cards to atcs shortly it will be my garden pots,and hopefully soon in may DD will be back in the uk with new paint kits,so we may have some renewed interest in decorative painting,l will shortly put some of my stuff in the gallery,im allso into machine embrodery which ive...

I have booked twice at my local craft shop for a one stroke painting class, but twice it was cancelled. I watched Stephanie Weightman do it at the C & C weekend last year and thought I would like to give it a try. I must book another class when they organise another weekend one.
