As this is our 1st year in this garden I,m waiting for all the plants to spring to life to find out whats here,,,lol Its a very odd shaped garden with lots of nooks and hills and turns,,not very big but beautifully quaint.I,ve got lots of seedlings on the go,,Morning Glory,3 types of marigolds,swan daisys,chillis.peppers,tomatoes so hopefully they,ll all grown nicely and then I can get them planted out in May. love sue xxxx

I do all the gardening at hour house; hubby isn't into it at all. He does drag the lawnmover around now and again, but you can tell he is in a bad mood by the way he shoves it around! My back and front garden is lawn (well kind of lawn as the grass has grown so much and it it very wet underfoot, and i can't find anyone to cut it for me) so I have loads of tubs and baskets. My garden is in a bit of a mess just now, I 'inherited' my dad's garden two years ago and despite trying as hard as I could, I just couldn't get into it - my heart has just not been in it. My garden consists of two very large window boxes and a hanging manger!
Currently filled with winter flowering shrubs and cyclamen.

Planning loads of white and yellow for the summer but its far too cold to replant at the moment.

I would absolutely LOVE to have a garden!! In a former life I had a large garden with a big vegetable plot and grew old fashioned roses - alas, living in the city centre I lost my garden but have the parks around about to see.

Hmmm... well after clearing the moss from the garden as much as possible, I'll wait and see how long I get to enjoy the daisies and dandylions before hubby trundles round with the mower in a month or so. Might even make some progress on the patio this year ... so far it's still a pit in the ground awaiting completion.

Oh how I wish I could get my hands back in the garden again, I miss it so much, but I have to be happy with the containers on my deck. I do love to plant them and watch them grow and bloom too. Being in a wheelchair I can't do the yardwork and take care of my garden...

Don't know what we are going to do with the back garden this year. For about 6 months now we have had some visitors - wild rabbits - they are driving me crazy. I love animals and they are nice to look at but the little blighters are digging biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiig holes everywhere. I go out and fill the holes in and when I look a little while later the holes are back. We have good solid fencing all round but they are still getting in. We bought the tree peonies from QVC also we have planted them in pots and they are growing nicely. Front garden seems to be a bit of a disaster as all the plants seem to have died in last years floods.Had some beautiful oriental poppies lots of aquilegas pinks some sea hollys none of which have appeared this year.In the back garden we have lost a climbing hydranga which used to have a mass of white blooms have had that one for about 10 years but just bare no leaves or anything this year...

I always plantschizanthus as you can't get them as plants and I just love them. Alo got mini dahlias coming on very nicely, begonias and ruffled pansies still to arrive. We do have a small border but I mostly do pots lots of them!!

Our garden doesn't need much doing at the moment .Hubby's a very keen gardener,so he's been keeping on top of it.Plus he needs to spend a lot of time at the allotment he's got.He's really into growing his own veggies.

Hopefully my hubby is going to build some raised flower beds as well, also do a new

Glyphosate spray is great for your weeds! From Wilko or similar, own brand! Spray (hand spray) the leaves and they absorb it, and it goes down to the roots and kills the roots! Takes a little longer, but good! And when any hits the soil it breaks down, doesn't stay in your soil like other nasty weedkillers! However, protect anything you don't want to kill off, because the spray drifts!

What are you planning for the garden this year?
I bought the Peony trees from QVC a couple of weeks ago when they were a tsv. They are doing well so far with a few buds on each.
I know this sounds daft but I have bought a packet of dandelion seeds and other weeds for the tortoise. I'm going to grow pansies and other bits for him too.
