sorry everyone but I am locking this post - enough already on my craft studio - for those that love it - I am really pleased, for those that hate it or are grouchy about it - please do your best to talk to Arts and Crafts direct

but I really really DON'T want to talk about other company's problems on here - it achieves nothing except a miserable thread that no-one can help with or do anything about - so no more please

there as also been a lot of trouble as it was renamed and ideal world brought out the cds under another name from what i read they were selling the cds at alley pally last week i gave it a wide birth

My Craft Studio doesn't work as a true graphics program should and certainly not as advertised. I have bought 2 of these discs and both behaved in the same way. It's an incomplete program and not recommended if you want to do anything more than drag and drop with it.

There are many problems with this software. If your version is 1.0.0.3 or less then the graphics program of the mcs will not work as advertised, but, will work as shown, ie. you can drag and drop to your hearts...

My Craft Studio has been problematic for MANY crafters.
The website that is meant to support My Craft Studio has apparently been delayed as Ideal World and Stephanie Weightman are in some sort of legal wrangle over the software.
I understand some persons have even reported the software to the Advertising Standards Agency. It is a budget program but it has failed to deliver on some of the basic promises made in the tv demos.

I don't have the my craft studio so cannot comment on it.
But if your looking for a graphics program then alot of the well known ones are not as expensive as you might think (especially if you get the version one behind the current one out) plus you can buy books like 'and idiots guide to ...' or ' ...... for dummies' or other similar books they basically walk you through the entire graphics program bit by tiny bit so that once you get a hang of it you can decide if...

I have been very pleased with mine. It is very easy to use (I haven't mastered other Graphics programmes yet) and you can get good results. I have the fairies one, but I usually use imported images, including backing paper designs from other CD Roms. The good thing with the backing papers is that you can change the colour and intensity to suit any project.

Regard to the MCS Cds.....i have quite a few of them no have had no problem with them at all....
but there have been a few Cd's from other ppl i have had and had probs with em....sent em back....got money back....

I have all the My Craft Studio cd's and I think they are fantastic. I have had no problems and I have made some beautiful cards with them. I missed the show about the new Oriental cd, was not home from hospital. My sons did record it for me and the darlings then went and checked to see if I had it and when they could not find it they ordered it for me. I got the first M.C.S.cd it dosen't work either, when I phoned to get it sorted I was told nothing could be done becaused I had broken the seal, How else was I to know wither it worked or not,
I am wondering how much money has been made, on this usless cd, that was (in my opinnion) released before it was ready. Dawn xxx

i have the first one and yet to make a card with it i have to say that the craft room CD and cat walk CD are my 2 worse buys but everyone one is differant there is a lot of trouble still with the craft room cds i read a lot on other forums about it and on one non craft forum that looks in to shopping channels there was a report from the admin that steph is taking a customer to court and its all to do with whats being said about the craft room CD hope this helps

I've got the four seasons, but I only use it for images which I take into PSP and play with them there. I didn't have any problems, but didn't particularly like the interface

Thank you ladies for all your comments.
I don't think I'll get this after all, as I'm not that brilliant with technical programmes and this sounds like it may be a bit advanced for me . I thought it may have been useful for the graphics programme etc. but I think I'll just contine doing all my bits in Greetings Factory

I have almost all of the cd's and have ordered the latest one only because I like the images, not because it is a good graphics package.
There are still ongoing problems with them and if they could be sorted out they might just be worth the money.

Like Sandra I've removed it from my PC
the original disc and both upgrades were put in the bin
It wasn't worth the stress

Once I had the upgrade I had no problems with it but must admit I've never used it as I prefer the other cd's I have. In fact I've removed it from my PC.

I have found it OK apart from resizing...sometimes the image will only enlarge as opposed to getting smaller! I have Adobe Photoshop and am aware that I could do more with that if only I could figure out how but with MCS it is so quick and easy so I think it's a winner. Even if you aren't keen on the images which come with the software you can import anything you like

I have a four seasons cd and have had some problems with it. I've a few of Joanna's and 2 of glenda's cd and have used them a lot but that's my personal opinion.

i had the fairys one and i rarely use it mine is the updated version it has no verses on it and very few fairy's I don't think it was worth the money I paid for it.

I'm considering getting "My Craft Studio", but I remember the trouble you all experienced when you bought it and I wondered if the problems had all been rectified now or not.
