Hi its Hilary here, I noticed in your "three wishes thread" that you wished for a nebulizer to help with your asthma. I also have asthma and so does
my youngest son, we have a nebulizer, it was given to us free from our hospital. Have you tried asking there if they either give them out or even loan them.
Hope you don't mind me sticking my nose in, but asthma is a b***h.

Love,

Hilary

I think this is very strange. In Oz anyone can go to a chemist to buy a nebuliser. I guess its because we have the highest incidence of asthma in the world,
although I thought the UK was second. I've had asthma all my life, was one of the unlucky ones never to grow out of it, although I have it very much in
control. I broke my last nebuliser before I came back from England (dropped it off the top shelf in my wardrobe) but since I had used it maybe three times in 5
years, didn't...

Just reading this post with great interest. Was diagnosed with Asthmas while in hospital with pneumonia and have had nebuliser several times and hated it at
first, but it really does help me. I don't think my asthma is under control as the drs are constantly changing the way and amount of inhalers i am taking.

Hi Lonnie Sorry to hear you are suffering from asthma, I started with asthma only a few years ago and this has now progressed to COPD and I am on 4ltrs of
oxygen a minute for 15hrs a day and have to use a Bipap machine overnight. If you think a nebuliser will help nag your doctor etc as there is nothing worse
than when you are struggling to breath.

Take care.

I'm also Asthmatic and VERY allergic to cats. If we had a cat I would not be here now it is so bad! I was warned by the hospital. I would never have a cat
if you know you are allergic Lonnie. Why inflict something actually potentially life-threatening? My eyes swell and close up as well as the fighting for
breath, and the itching! Even inside my mouth and throat itch!

I find the nebuliser is indispensible when you are really poorly, and too weak to use inhalers...

I'm asthmatic and allergic to cats but have had cats for 15 years now. I find that if I can get through the first 6-8 weeks then I become acclimatised. I
still have to remember to wash my hands frequently and not touch my eyes after touching the cats. Any scratches or cuts swell up if they come into contact with
my 'girls' and I come up in a huge welt if either of them scratches me. I just keep Piriton or similar in the house just in case but generally I have
few problems. I know...

My son and I could not be without our nebulizer. If we did not have one then we would be making dashes to the hospital each week, at the very least. My son
is allergic to so many things that he would spend more time in hospital than at home, if we did not have one. However, I was so pleased to read that your
asthma has improved Chell, long may it continue.
