			<description><![CDATA[ <font color="#0033FF">failed my first one. A bus pulled out in front of me with no signals, and I put my foot down and shot past it. He failed me for dangerous
driving! He told me that I should have let the bus hit me, which it would have done, and I had a go at him, because it was MY car, not a school one! I was
dreading getting the same examiner next time, but I didn&#39;t and passed. I was also 8 months pregnant, so perhaps he didn&#39;t want to upset

later I still remember his words and pictures. The second attemp I was more nervous that the day I got married and was shaking like a leaf, well we had only

			<description><![CDATA[ <p>So many years ago but I remember it well!  I felt sick with nerves and had the grumpiest of examiners.  Luckily I had a wide range of vision and for the
emergency stop I saw his newpaper coming towards the dashboard to give the signal and did the fastest and &#39;bestest&#39; stop ever.  Things came flying off

			<description><![CDATA[ When I took my test it was the same day I did a pregnancy test(my parents didn&#39;t know)! One of those you had to leave a few hours, so I couldn&#39;t see
the result of that before I took my driving test.

			<description><![CDATA[ My father taught me to drive (not recommended) and on the day of the test I had an hour practice with him in the car, and could I do anything right! I could
not reverse round a corner, nor a hill start, and Dad was getting rather short tempered to say the least (he did have a short fuse) Off we go to the test
centre to find that mine had been cancelled due to too many examiners down with flu, but we had had no notification. I was re-booked for the next day. Dad was

			<description><![CDATA[ I went the wrong way when the driving instructor told me to turn at traffic lights. I went right, across the traffic, instead of left like he told me!!

I also stalled the car on a roundabout on the morning of my test, which un-nerved me, but I passed the test first time.

ali i did see it on the other thread, thank you, n as my first lesson was in torrential rain i know where the wipers are, but after about 8 lessons i did have
to ask about headlights as all my lessons up to then had been during the day or 5pm ish when john picked me up so the lights where already on!

			<description><![CDATA[ wow so long ago.  Was coming up a very steep hill when a duck and ducklings crossed in front of me.  I stopped, let them go and started again without giving it
a thought.  Now if I had been asked to do a hill start, would probably have gone back a few inches. My late husband was a driving examiner at one point in his
career.  Some of the tales he told me were hilarious. When they are trained they are told they must not be over familiar with the candidate, in case it

test.................yes, old grumpy guts!  He failed me on my first test.  Then when I was in the waiting room for my second test I was praying it wasn&#39;t

Chell, I still remember my driving test of many years ago (and I <strong>did</strong> pass first time much to my own surprise) and the wise words of my driving
instructor.

1) Just imagine everyone else on the road is an idiot.

2) If you make a mistake put it right sensibly.

them on if it&#39;s not raining, i said thats not in the highway code.and when going up a road there was a big puddle and yes i lifted my feet up.lol

i know i have the ability as john my instructor is positive i&#39;m ready n it was him who pushed me to do my theory which i passed with the proverbial flying
colours, much to my delight.

			<description><![CDATA[ I was so nervous when I took mine that my clutch leg was visibly shaking and I couldn&#39;t stop it! I tried to have a joke with the examiner about hearing my
bones shake but he wasn&#39;t amused. Needless to say I failed the first one. The second time I told myself it is just another lesson with someone I
haven&#39;t driven with before, it isn&#39;t the end of the world and I can always do it again. I was as calm as can be and sailed through the test. The second

			<description><![CDATA[ well I say keep calm and don&#39;t do what i did and argue with the instructor about the best route to take - I told him there was a big delivery at a local
pub at the time we were doing the test so there would be a long hold up - he was miffed and said go where I tell you too and yep - there was the beer barrel
delivery (I knew !) so I did my 3 point turn a little early and went the other way and yes I passed!
