I buy all my stamps in bulk at Costco (cheaper that way) and have recently stocked up before their deadline.

It's like my hubby is always moaning about the cost of petrol but I pointed out to it's still cheaper than a pint of beer and you get further for your money hugs maggie

I have been to PO and bought £20.00 of 1st class stamps including the large 1st class ones, the young lady at the PO was brilliant. She said any stamps with the price on them ie 24p etc will not be valid after 7th April but the ones that say 1st class or 1st class large will be, so make sure you get this type if you are going to stock up. In future mine will be a smaller size and not so many embellisments and certainly less cards sent at Christmas. How do they think inflation is at 2.6%? Food, petrol, gas, electric postage all up. Have you noticed any of it at 2.6% or less?? Me enither.

I think it's a disgrace the prices we pay now and we have to wait ages sometimes for packages, i have just waited 15 days for a package coming,so paying over £4 for the privilage of waiting these 15 days i am sorry but it's not good enough Marian x

I have had several letters not delivered because of insufficient postage and it cost £1.16 each to collect them from the depot. I was also shocked to have to pay £10.90 to send a small package to Denmark for my granddaughter's easter. Norma

Yes I've had "lost in the post" letters and parcels but overall think it isn't a bad service. To send a letter from one part of Germany to another can take over a week first class. The internal mail in USA is dreadful too. I recently posted a parcel to my nephew in Birmingham, it cost me £4.95 - I couldn't drive from Cheltenham to Birmingham for that nor catch a train or coach for that amount of money and he had the parcel the next day.
