I have just had a message from a friend saying the following
If you recieve a call on your mobile saying that he or she is a company engineer and just needs to check your line and asks you to press #90, end the call immediately, as they are a fraud company using a device that once you press #90 they can access your sim and make calls.

Blimey! Whatever next? I'm getting me two empty soup cans and a
long piece of string and gonna blether to me buddies that way

could present a problem ... maybe peg some letters on the string and shimmy them along a kind of pully contraption 
It makes ya nervous with so much fab technology and some who are h*ll bent on
spoiling it
