I found this recipe in a wee book called cheap eats, Its dead easy simple filling and quick when you can't be bothered cooking. You
need 350 g/12 oz pasta, such as Penne, 350g/12 oz frozen peas, 1 large red pepper cut into chunks, 8 rashers of streaky bacon, 150g pack of soft cheese with
herbs and garlic and half pint of milk.
Cook the pasta, add the peas & pepper to pot 5 mins from the end of cooking. Bring back to boil and cook for 5 mins. Grill the bacon until crispy and snip into bite size portions. Put soft cheese and milk ina pan and heat till soft and thickened, drain the pasta and veg toss with cheese sauce and bacon.
I've also done this with cold cooked chicken left over and fried some onions and mushrooms. Sustituted the milk for cream and this time plain cheese and it was just as yummy. Have also used plain cheese, uht double cream, onions mushrooms and flavoured chicken pieces in packs from the supermarket. It was also good.
