I have just had a call from his mum.. Peter Moore (Manchester) has just won the whole thing. He is only 12 but such a gifted boy. I worked as a classroom
assistan with his mum Jane and became a family friend. I also baby sat Peter from the age of 1 until they moved back to Manchester from Belfast about 3 and a
half years ago.. I can't tell you how happy I am for the whole family as they are all gifted musicians.

I was completely mesmerised by his playing, and what a lovely boy he seems to be. I wasn't sure where he came from but I should have known he was a grand
northern lad. He has a look of one of my grandsons and all I wanted to do was to give him a cuddle. Sorry to go on but I was totally overwhelmed.

He was born here in Belfast but the family moved back to Stalybridge in Manchester about 3 and a half years ago. I miss them so much.

His mum and dad are the proudest and happiest people in the world at the moment and I am happy for them too as they are very hardworking.

You must be so proud of him Hazel. I only saw the pianist and part of the guitarist last night, both superb, but am busy downloading on the iplayer so will be
able to watch him later on. Congratulations to Peter, especially at so young an age.
