Joanna, could you please tell me where I might get some of those small doyleys you used yesterday in your demo? I have tried three
shops so far, but no luck! Thanks. Mary xx |

My local town has a kitchen shop which sells all sorts from cocktail sticks to cast iron cookware etc
They had paper doyleys in cake sizes and also the smaller ones in packets for
just over £1. They weren't as pretty as the one Joanna used but I bought some anyway
Good luck with your search Val |

I would also like to know where to get them. My nearest shopselling cake decorations only sells the large ones.

Thanks for your help everyone! I'm off to try again now! If I don't have any luck, I'll buy on line as Joanna suggested.

Completely OT but - thank you Joanna for the link. I had a look and the word "complementing" jumped out at me, correct spelling, correct context.
Why get excited? Well I actually phoned a company this morning when I got my mail because the covering letter in a parcel told me that the enclosed brochures would "compliment" my own ones! The person on the other end of the phone did sound bemused so I tried to explain that their brochures would not be sitting there paying compliments to mine. Maybe I'm a bit sad!!! |

I'm afraid I'm known as the English Language police and had a field day in the US telling them they don't speak English. I don't think
you're sad, just fed up (like me!) about the decline of our National Language. People don't care anymore, even the schools don't seem to care. I
think THAT'S sad, not you!

I've started making my own using the Multi-punch Tool......Readicut had them on offer (still do now and then)
Able to do squares, circles and oval ones. Also does border edges and corners too!....nifty gadget! San x |

I'm sorry I've been keeping my eyes open for weeks now and the shop hasn't had any in. The last person who asked me , I
shared my last packet with, so sorry, I can't help. They were 39p for 50, I bet Joanna has forgotten she had those that I got!!
