Does anyone know how to get your printer to print in gold or silver or do you need to buy special ink cartridges if so where from?

Hi Maggie
Using word or an image manipulation programme you can get text to look very much like gold or silver. You need to change the RGB (Red Green Blue) values of the colour of the text to be the following Gold = Red 192 Green 168 Blue 104 Deeper Gold = Red 165 Green 138 Blue 82 Silver = Red 151 Green 151 Blue 168 Copper = Red 205 Green 115 Blue 0 If you let me know which programme you're using I'll probably be able to tell you how to get the place where you change the RGB values. You could also print the text on a laser printer and foil it. Debbie xx www.picturetrail.com/debbiejprice

Hi Maggie
Haven't used Microsoft Works for a while but give this a go: Type the words Highlight the words with the mouse Right click on the words and a pop up menu should appear Choose Font Then choose Font Colour A standard set of colours come up, there should be a More Colours option. Choose more and then Custom Colours You should then get three boxes where you can type in the appropriate RGB value. If right clicking doesn't produce a pop up menu highlight the text as above and then choose Format and then Font from the menu at the top of the works screen. Let me know if this works. In reply to the lady who wanted to know about printing in gold and silver (Maggie May) if you go to www.freeserifsoftware.com and download pageplus se and photoplus se you have two free programs (older versions of great ones on the market in this field) that you can do loads of things connected with graphics and photos.
Go to download now for each of them then continue free download then start the download. click save in the box and in the next window that comes up make sure desktop is in the top bar. when it is finished click close. close all the open programs you have by closing windows at the top and by right clicking on the icons by the clock on the bottom right. double click on the file that you saved to the desktop and it will install your free copy of the program that you can do all sorts of graphic work in. Restart the computer when it is done and all your icons by the clock will be running again and the program will be ready for you to use. I hope that helps. Jay |
