About 30 odd years ago onboard a ship that will remain nameless, in one of the lounges that was a favourite place for dozing off. A passenger was found dead in
one of the armchairs, he had been dead for several hours.
It wasn't unusual to see passengers asleep in this lounge (in fact it had the nickname Gods waiting room or the Embalming room) so the waiters didn't take much notice. However following this incident the instruction was given that if a passenger seemed to be asleep for an hour or more the chair leg was to be given a slight nudge or a tray dropped near by to make sure they were still alive. Just goes to show you can't be too careful, keep moving. |

that's absolutely awful!!
