I have a lovely old chiming wall clock which was my grandparents wedding present. It had always been in the house as a child and it came to me after Mum died.
Apart from going for an overhall a few years ago it has been going constantly since 1904.I love it!!

I am still using two silver tablespoons on a daily basis - got them from Mil when we moved into our first home 37 years ago. Also a huge white china ashet
(meat dish) used for the christmas turkey or whenever we cook a large joint.

I still use to-day all my mum's baking tins etc, she was a wonderful cook and baked everything. I also still have all her crystal and lots of pictures and
knick knacks. I don't know if my lot will keep things the way we did. Hugs Rita xxxx

Oh gosh - too many things to list really - have all my mum's crystal and china (most of which was her mother's before her) which I do use on special
occasions - and her display cabinet. On a daily basis I use her everyday crockery, vases, sheets, tablecloths, and wear her jewellery. Dawnywol wears her
engagement ring and I wear my grandmother's engagement ring (that's just short of 100 years old). My children also have items of furniture - Dawnywol
has a set of chairs that my parents bought just after they were married "utility" chairs from during the war, which are really great chairs and
probably better made than current furniture!
The grandchildren use my mother's child's armchair when visiting - which was second hand when she had it - so that is over 100 years old. (I can just about get sit in it - we always said it was most comfortable chair in the house! Mags H |

Nothing at all. She lives in Australia, where I grew up, and has no respect for inanimate objects. I used to treasure my books and toys as a kid, but she used
to give them to the younger ones to play with (and spoil) and just told me off for not sharing. I moved back to the Uk to get away from her (and, at the time,
the rest of my family, though I now email one brother ).
I do use several items from an older relative with whom i lived for 20 years, until she died in 1989. These include a lovely teaset, 2 chinese teacosies and a wonderful old teapot. She was more like a mum than the woman who gave birth to me ever was. Sore subject! Janet |

I use my mother's bedroom furniture and foot stool, and then there's her ironing board, clothes horse and gravy boat that I use just about every day. I
use her enamelled pie dish and stock pot at least once a week. Then there's some spare blankets, some soup tureens, vegetable dishes, odds and ends of
cutlery. On special occasions I bring out the 'good' serving dishes and china. These are the left overs from my parent's wedding presents from 1956
- 52 years ago! There's ornaments and vases and other bits and pieces that she collected over the years too. I use my dad's tools from when he was an
apprentice cabinet maker and that was before the war - things like hand saws, screwdrivers, planes, chisels, his hammer, pliers etc. In the shed there is a
whole row of jars of rusty nails and scews and nuts and bolts etc - stored in 1950s bryl cream jars. I also use their garden tools that were bought in 1962 or
1963. There's even a manual lawn mower that I prefer to the flymo. I inherited their house and shed when my dad died 2 years ago.
I think I might have some towels, casserole dishes and odd bits of bedding left from my own wedding 20 odd years ago - but not much else. Mum and dad took must have better care of their stuff - or it was meant to last. |

From mum I have a dressing table & drawers that they got when they were married, dining table & chairs from one grandma, a mug & ornaments from
other grandma and a bookcase which my grandad made. And probably a few other bits and pieces too. Mum has a chair that belonged to great grandfather.
Just remembered some more things - grandma's address book (very useful for Family History research as it has birthdays & anniversaries in) loads of old photos , some in an old album, great grandmother's bible (with birth & death dates of her children) and various other funeral ribbons etc. Janet |

Not a lot, my dad threw everything out when she died, without asking any of us children if we wanted anything. The only thing I really want is the return of my
Kenwood Chef that I lent them to try as mum said she was thinking of getting one (that was about fifteen years ago!!) Dad still has it so I shall try and get
it eventually!!!
Only thing I have, and I have just got out of the loft, was a pink furry pram blanket which mum gave me for my daughters pram. I have just washed it and will put it on the pushchair I keep at the house for when I am babysitting (only three weeks old and I've already babysat once and am booked for a whole night in a fortnight!!! lol). It is lovely quality, they certainly don't make them like that any more. Nina x |

My mum's still using her things, but she did buy my patio set as a present when I did up the garden after my husband died. I have got several things that
belonged to my nan some of which were golden wedding gifts and a table that my grandfather made for me about 40 yrs ago - to put my record player on. What
I'd really like is the old copper kettle that belonged to dad's grandmother, but my brother has that.
