Well today I'm happy because I've had my first proper shower for twelve days. Operation on my knee prevented it and I had to make do with a half a
shower with nearly a whole roll of clingfilm over the leg. It was heaven to just stand under the running water and it made me think of people living in other
countries who don't even have enough clean water to drink. We all have a moan sometimes, (we're human) but we have so much to be thankful for.

Oh Pauline, I bet that shower was bliss! I remember when I had an op and had to keep dressings on and not get into the bath. The wound was on my groin area so
couldn't do the cling film thing really. Oh boy that first bath and hair wash was wonderful! Hope your knee is feeling better too!

ohhh how true Pauline - water is so crucial ....
I am feeling content today because I have got a couple of long/involved things off my to do list done - it still seems to grow faster than I can whip things off it! I'm happy because Emily is home safe and flew straight up to her bedroom and sank exhausted onto her bed not stirred for the last three hours! and I'm happy because I have a litle spaniel dog sat on my feet snoring loudly! |

S'been a while and I've missed my daily forum visits. Stuff n nonsense in our own wee world took a bit of a toll and is now resolved, thankfully, and
I can focus on crafting again.
Our weather is diabolical, usual gales and bitterly cold, though due to calm down later today. A tempting afternoon tea awaits us midweek, so that should lure me outdoors for a while. Have missed loads of birthdays and giving supportive hugs, but rest assured you've all not been far from my mind. S'nice to be back, so I'm happy

Ooh Pauline bet that felt great. I have to have a bath when I get up to feel human. Having my bath and a mug of cappachino when I get up each day makes me
happy.

I know how it feels to be able to wash your hair for the first time in ages, and bliss doesn't quite cover it. I had a wonderful day because a group of us
visited the Royal Hospital in Chelsea and had a tour of the building and a wonderful guide (a sargeant who's an in pensioner) talked about the history of
the place and what it's like to be a Chelsea pensioner plus a trip around their museum.
