can anyone tell me the nearest airport to wakefield? oh has just put a bid on a van down that way we live on the west coast of scotland

I agree with Chris that Leeds/Bradford is most likely the nearest to Wakefield.

Leeds and Bradford is the closest airport and its about 10-15mins away from Leeds city centre, Wakefield in about 20mins away
from Leeds city centre, wouldn't National Express coaches be easier for you should get you to centre of Wakefield.

thanks ladies! the prices of flights to leeds are just stupid (176 each!) and i know what i could spend my fair on! SheWray the van is in wakefeid! dont want
to go and have a look for me do you!!only joking now the prices to manchester arent to bad 100 for two. so my next question is how far is manchester from
wakefield? and how close is that other place with boxes to pack?i cant do buses id just be sick for hours,we are on the west coast of scotland edinburgh is
about 150miles from us infact we are 35miles from the mull of kintyre

It is about 56 miles by car from Manchester Airport to Wakefield. But you could catch a train straight from Manchester Airport Station to Huddersfield and then
change for Wakefield.

I was going to make the same suggestion as Janet - Wakefield to LBA is 19.6 miles - Wakefield to Robin Hood Airport is 36.9 - which is closer than Manchester
if you can get a reasonably priced flight
