We have been invited to a wedding reception and the invite arrived today, the invite has been handmade and has asked for a phone call as the RSVP. I wanted to
make a card to accept but I also know that I could do a lot better job than the invite, I don't want to do it and make them feel I was showing off but feel
it's nice to keep these things. So should we just ring them and say yes or do i go ahead and make the card?

i would phone them up ,but i would also make a card so that they can keep it as a memento of their big day.

Jenny I think I would just ring if that is what they are asking for but that's just my opinion. Have you decided yet?

Why not compromise? Ring as requested, then send a small card but make it simple?

Trouble is, we all have such pride in our work, you wouldn't feel right if you made something less than your usual standard - I would phone, then make the
most gorgeous card for the happy couple on their special day.

I would imagine they've asked you to ring so that it's over and done with, because people forget to post RSVP's, and they could be waiting to see
how many for the reception. You could make a little "thank you for asking us" card, as well as giving them a ring. HTH, luv |Jacqui xx

I agree with Jacqui's idea ring, then send a thank you.

We've rung and said yes, but because I like to do things right I have made a small card to accept as well. Nothing fancy just a stamped image of a wedding
dress, so hopefully everyone will be happy. Thanks for replying as it is good to get a feeling for what others think.
