Can I ask how does everyone stick their stamps onto ez mount.Do you cut them individually and put them on the ez mount or stick the full sheet on. How close
do you cut to the stamp
thanks chris c |

Hi Chris, I cut the stamps individually, then stick to the ezimount and just cut as close as I can round the stamp, without cutting into the image, find this
works best for me, hth, Kali. ps I use nail varnish remover to clean scissors afterwards and find this removes the stickiness.

I cut the stamps out and mount them individually as this can reduce the amount of EZ mount used. Also, the last time I removed the backing paper before cutting
the combined stamp and ez mount as per Joanna's advice. I used to spray with water to reduce the stickiness but this time I wiped the scissor blades with a
versamark pen. It helps to stop the stickiness and can also be used to clean the scissors afterwards.

Hi Chris, I got my first set of stamps and ez mount just before christmas. I also cut around each design first, leaving a small edge, and then stick onto the
ez mount and then cut around that after. It's very sticky stuff isn't it! I keep a jar of sticky stuff remover and put all my scissors in to soak from
time to time. Trouty x (Jean)

I bought the artilicious stamps before Christmas and stuck them straight on in one go, just bought some more stamps from Joanna and wondered if there was a
different way to use them.Thank you, I am going to cut round each of them as you suggest and stick them on seperatly

I am stingy, I am afraid and cut around the individual stamps first. I find it easier to cut through the ez mount then too (usually use a craft knife to do
this)

Kittikat, my OH suggested using a craft knife, but as I am useless with one I was sceptical. But it is so much easier. My hand would ache after I used scissors
and I get a much neater finish too.
I've heard demonstrators on TV say to put the whole sheet on first and it makes me wonder if they have assistants to do it for them. My hand could hardly move after trying to cut through rubber as well as ezmount - but then I am a bit weak and wabbit maybe they work out or are just better with scissors!
I have bought a laminator and I am going to laminate pages with images of my stamps and then stick the ezmounted stamps onto it. I keep my stamp sets in zip lock bags in tesco file folders and this should make them less likely to get damaged. Alison |

Because I'm a meanie I cut around my stamps first then fiddle around to get as many in as small a space as possible. I also dust the ez mount with talc
between the stamps to remove some of the stickiness and then use a baby wipe to clean my scissors.

i cut my stampout t=roughly first then mount on the EZ then cut close to the edge of the stamp , then powder the exposed sticky so my scissors dont get too
sticky ... then cut as close to the stsmp pattern as possible

I cut mine out Individually first and also every couple of cuts wipe my scissors with a baby wipe (sure I got this tip here ages ago) and they don't seem
to stick as much.

I got lots of stamps for my Christmas and what with Joanna's sale as well, I decided to finally get them mounted.
I trimmed them as close to the rubber as I wanted using 6 ins fiskars scissors for straight cuts and short curved blade fiskars for the small irregular shapes. If you hold the scissors at an angle your cut is closer at the top of the rubber, rather than the bottom. This means the image is always supported. Then I laid them onto the sheets of ezmount to get the best use of space. (More or less. I used to be obsessive, but I realized I was being stupid). I filled 3 sheets and 2 half sheets, who's a lucky Alison? Next, I took the white backing paper off the foam sheets then I trimmed round them all using a cheap knife with break off blades held at an angle to the stamp. Use the top sheet to lay under your arm so your clothes don't stick and wipe off small pieces from your blade and fingers onto the backing sheet. This is the only thing they won't stick to. I used to spend ages with it sticking to one finger, then another, then the bin...! Finished by breaking off the sticky blade so knife is ready for next time. (And sandwiched the old blade between 2 bits of scrap foam. I keep some pieces for disposing of all my old knife blades.) In all it took me 45 minutes. Then I went to stamp them and discovered I was out of card Forced to do
some more shopping this morning
Thought I would write down exactly what Idid while it was fresh in my mind. Alison |

I just a buy a sheet of Ez Mount every time i buy a sheet of stamps. Then i stick the whole thing to the mount and cut out.
Ive just invested in a pair of scissors Joanna calls her new pet to tackle this job for me. They are for rubber and should make the job easier in the long run. I guess the way i do it i waste a lot of the EZ Mount but i cant be bothered to cut twice. Tina |

Thanks for all the tips. I bought Joanna's fairy stamps and EZ mount at the same time and had quite a job trying to get my scissors clean afterwards.
I also had bits of EZ mount stuck to my arms etc. |

If you peel off the backing sheet (the one attached to the tacky side) before you cut out, then you can reattach the stamps to this sheet afterward. however
Joanna does sell files to store your unmounted stamps in and saves them from being damaged - depends on how many stamps you have - if it is only a couple then
use the sheet for now and but files as your collection grows - which it will!

I cut out the stamp first, then put it on the EZMount, dust with baby powder and cut out again using Kai scissors, which have really sharp blades at a good
angle, and large finger-holds for ease of use. Meth spirits to clean them from time to time and they're fine. Someone on the forum gave out the tip about
powder and it really does make the whole job so much easier.

I stick the whole sheet on then cut. And I us Tesco's value baby wipes to clean the scissors with, less smell.

I use scissors to cut the rubber and then put the stamps on the ez mount as close together I can then use a craft knife to cut round the stamps. I find using a
craft knife easier than scissors and the cut is always straight I don't under cut the rubber that way. I don't think the knife gets too sticky unlike
the scissors for some reason.

I've put a load of stamps onto ez mount today - a job I usually dread but found it loads easier by powdering the sticky side and using a craft knife! I
couldn't believe how quick it was - thanks for the tips Sheenies!
