help - spelling |

Can any one help please and quickly. I'm trying to do an insert for a card, using the words Not aging, Marinating!! Is that how you spell it, I thought the
word was marinade so the spelling would be marinading. Its the wording she wants, and I can't get hold of her and need to get the card finished and in the
post. I did a spell check on Word and it said okay with a t. I'm totally confused now, please help me. Love Linda

Marinade is the noun and marinate is the verb therefore you marinate in a marinade and so marinating is the right spelling (I think !)

I believe it's a marinade, but you marinate, so I think like Beryl, t would be right, honestly the English language is a funny old thing isn't it, hth,

i THINK marinating is the soaking process and marinade is what it soaks in,from what i can see by googling and looking at an online dictionary way,i'm not
100% though

Thank you Carol. Just checked the card and I haven't spelt ageing right!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Will have to dismantle the card and do it all
over again! Thank you though I would have felt a right fool sending it, its for my daughters friend, and my daughter is a teacher. Mind you she can't spell
either. Thank you all so much. Didn't want to go to bed tonight anyway. Love Linda
