Can anyone tell me what type of black embossing powder you use? I am having trouble with black embossing powder leaving a solid black line when heated. It
tends to be very "bitty" and the overall look is not good. I have no problem with other coloured powders?

It sounds to me that you may be overheating or holding the heat gun too close.
Another alternative is to use black ink and a clear embossing powder ....... Brilliance ink is good. |

I use black ink and clear embossing powder most of the time and find I get a good result. I do have detail black powder but haven't tried it yet, I have
had good results with the copper, silver, gold and clear so I expect it to be as good as that too.

i have black embossing powder but i prefer to use black ink and clear powder. I dont have nay probs with my black just prefer the other way.

I use the Heat it up range they seem to be okay. I've never had any problems with any of their colours

I would recommend clear powder over black ink - no chance of stray specks either with this

I always buy fine detail powder and this works well with either Versamark or black pigment ink.
