Well my Sheenie friends phase 1 and 2 of operation back garden is now finished and crikey have I worked my socks orft on it. Now all I have to do is the hedge
cutting at the front and tidy the flower bed and that will be finished. I am really pleased with my efforts as with being so ill myself the last two summers
and caring for John it was all very neglected. When I had finished the back garden I just stood there admiring all my hard work and the tears started, John
would have been so pleased to see his garden restored to how he liked it. So although I'm pleased it is tinged with some sadness as well. Sorry to waffle
on but just needed to get it out my system.

Oh bless you Sas, I know you weren't looking forward to it. Now you can sit outside with your glass of Oh Be Joyful and parchment work and relax. Do I get
to see it tomorrow?

I think you have now earned yourself a good rest, and I am sure John is looking down and smiling and so proud of you.

I know how you feel. My husband was the gardener and when he was ill the garden was neglected. After he died I spent the summer doing the garden and I knew he
would have loved seeing it finished.

You deserve a good stiff drink now, me thinks. Good job well done, John would be proud of you.

You enjoy your drink Sass, and a well earned rest. It must have been a difficult job emotionally and physically but it sounds like you've done a cracking
job and the other Sheenies are right, John would be so proud

Well Done Braveheart! You have done really well there! He will be rightly proud of you, no doubt.
Those tears are good for you too Sassie, though hard. Enjoy a well earned tipple
and I'll have one with you!
I am currently looking after young plants that I potted on recently for my Mum's tubs and baskets. Have filled her greenhouse (it was my darling Dad's). But when I am in there it is often sad too, because last year although Dad was so poorly, he still tried to pot on last years' and to tell me how to do it for as long as he could! I can still hear his guiding words. We are carrying on this year for him.
It's good to see the returning cycle of life, but tinged with sadness for some of us. love and hugs elaine xx |
