Well here I am in gloriously sunny France just outside Versailles!
Had an eventful journey out on the Eurostar on Wednesday! We stopped just 15mins short of Paris and there we stayed for the next 2hrs 30 mins! (Longer than the whole journey should have taken!) The reason was a lineside fire close to Gare du Nord! Unlike one train ahead of us (which was being affected by the smoke) we didnt have to evacuate the train!
When we did get into Paris my son was there waiting we had to find a route on the metro to get back to his work place where he had left the car. Not easy as so many lines were affected by the fire!
Its really lovely sitting here on the patio with my coffee and croissants listening to the birds...just heard my first Cukoo of the year! ( I wont mention the Cockerals on the farm across the road that woke me at 4 30am!!) My DIL has taken the boys to school
Tomorrow is the twins 7th birthday so they are excited. They have been trying to work out if Grandma has brought a pressie out cos they didnt see anything when I unpacked---eagle eyes were watching
They dont know I deliberately left them in the car until the boys were in bed! They might be 7 but they are wise beyond their years and dont miss anything but this Grandma knows all the tricks they get up to and took precautions!
Hope you are having the same lovely weather we have here! Have a good day
Margaret!
