I stayed in Folkestone once on one of those 5day break holidays - most of the time we were out and about - you know trip to France and all that, but to stay I
think Dover is better. Much more to do. Can't tell you about the craft shops though.

My Mum, Dad and Aunty had a wonderful holiday there once.
There was
coach travel and day trips were included, including a day in Boulogne? There was entertainment in the hotel each evening too! Lovely.
My Dad had a way with words and we always referred to it as their holiday in Foll-kess-tony with a day in Boo-log-nee!

folkestone has a really great craft shop its a Craft Central shop and is located at the local Wyevale garden centre, just a few mins walk from town centre the
staff there are lovely they are all crafters and really helpful and friendly.theres another one at Ashford a few miles further down the moterway the staff are
not so helpful and friendly there although they do have a nice gardencentre.with a good restaurant,

To be honest, it's not the first place I would think of as a holiday resort [sorry, anyone living there], but it is accessible to places like Whitstable
and Canterbury, France etc. if you want to use it as a base. No idea what the hotels are like, the town was rather run down, as I remember.
