ooooo Yuk Ronnie I hate the bloomin things. Isn't amazing how they burrow. We had them burrow under the compost bin - that has now been got rid of - shame
as it was good to compost the garden rubbish, and at same time they burrowed under the summer house, and then gnawed through the floor! Double Yuk! the council
came out two or three times and you should have seen the amount of poison they put down! We weren't charged for them doing it.
think I would have a moan at Council if they are coming into the house! You really don't need that! Mags |

thats what i always say, you see on the tv, lovely cottages with a river or a brook at the end of the garden and my first thought is rats. i do feel for you
and if i saw a rat in my house i would be spending the next few weeks in a hotel until it is all sorted out. i hate them. mice as well. hope it gets all sorted
out very quickly

Can't say I would want them in the house, so I feel for you Ronnie. However, I have to admit to having a soft spot for mice and rats as they are so smart.
When I did my psychology degree we used to train rats to pull levers and do various tasks for small rewards. They learnt so quickly - much faster than some
kids!!!

A couple of years ago we had a bit of an infestation of mice - to be honest they don't really worry me, unless they make a noise at night and wake me up! We used humane traps (I can't bring myself to kill mice) and finally got rid of them. We have also had rats in the garden - we keep guinea pigs and it probably attracts them - and I did let the boys put poison down as I know they carry disease and the grandchildren play in the garden. |

I would send you my mad moggie but he hasn't been tested with rats to my knowledge. Mice would be no problem, except for me who he would bring them in for
an unwanted gift. His gifts to date are shrews, newts, most returned to the wild. He brings them in and puts them down.
