If you didn't have it on your menu, (I haven't on this fairly new Epson, that quite surprised me,) does that mean I would make a right %!!!* up of it if I tried to print? I don't mind using my old HP and the print is perfect, but I've only just put new cartridges in the Epson! All I have on the whole of this menu, is plain paper, and a VERY small selection of photo papers. I only bought it earlier this year? Thanks, Jacqui xx

I think you're supposed to use the 'draft' setting, but I'm not sure. Somebody is bound to have tried it with an Epson. Sorry, that's not
much help is it!

I think I Richard said to use a glossy paper setting Jacqui if there isn't a transparency setting. I think we must have the same printer, I was quite

I can't print on acetate with my Epsom DX3800 it has a different type of ink that won't dry on it. I had to buy another printer to do that
grrrrrrrrrrrr.

Jacqui I too have a fairly new Epsom and a very small selection of papers, when I printed on my acetate I used draft and glossy and it worked well, I use photo
and either matte or semi gloss for the rest of my printing unless of coourse I am using a glossy paper which isn't often.

Jacqui my Epson Photo R200 doesn't have transparencies (only ink jet transparencies)so for vellum I leave the setting on plain paper and it prints okay but
it does take a while for the ink to dry. I use ink jet transparency setting for ink jet acetate though.
Is your Epson printer behaving itself now Jacqui? Or have you had it sorted out/changed it? Lynn xx |

I have a Canon MP600 which has neither a transparencies nor a draft setting, so I suppose it's a matter of trial and error in that case. Could be a bit
wasteful though.

my dx4850 Epson doesnt have the settings but I use glossy paper and draft setting and its perfect.

I have Epson D78 and used plain paper setting with 2nd setting after draft - text ? I did get some horizontal banding at my last attempt but printer had been
working overtime - and quite a lot of black since Dancing with Shadows arrived! It's had some new cartridges since, and it has a little clean then I think.
I do have two different packets of transparencies and get different results with them. Afraid answer is probably you have to play!
