Hi everyone Boadicea here,
i don't know if anyone else knew this but before they went over to crafting, KatySue designs was known as KatySue dolls because they used to make miniature porcelaine dolls for dolls houses and i used to do dolls houses before i went into card making and have a nice collection of their dolls. The reason why that stopped making dolls is because Sue,who is th co owner of the company, her teenage son got cancer and they put the business on hold while he had treatment, he has now been given a clean bill of health but they sold the dool end of the business onto someone else and now only do crafting products.
How i know all this is i regularly speak to the ladies by phone and have made good friends with them after seeing them a previous dolls house fairs and visiting them at their shop in South Shields while we were on holiday in Scarborough about 3 years ago and saw how the dolls were made first hand.
They are all nice ladies and i always send birthday cards and christmas cards to Noreen,Doreen and Sue each year.
I bought the POD from C&C only because i didn't know you would be able to get the kit from tomorrow from KatySue designs themselves.
Before flowersoft really took off it was created for making flower arrangements and bouqets for dolls houses and dolls house gardens but it took the crafting world by storm and the rest as they say is history.
I never used to use it much myself but use it all the time now and have made up different colours by mixing some of the solid colours together.
I looks brilliant on decoupage and i have used it on several of my christmas cards and with Joanna's christmas decoupage and it looks beautiful.
