I love musicals and anything with Fred and Ginger, but for a laugh I do enjoy the Ealing comedys my favourite one being Kind Hearts and Coronets.
Modern films like Lord of the Rings or Harry Potter and anything with Alan Rickman. Jan |

Philadelphia So powerful, Tom Hanks at his best.
The Killing Fields One of the most moving films i've ever seen. Shawshank Redemption The Ultimate film... The Green Mile The only film that brings out every emotion in you. City for Conquest Cagney at his best. Armagedden Liv Tyler  need i say more...

I think most of my favourites have already been mentioned but here goes anyway.
City Of Angels (have the tissues ready) (mind you most films with Nicholas Cage are great in my mind...lol) The Green Mile (I can't help myself watching anytime it comes on tv) Gladiator The Wizard Of Oz The Crow and I don't know if you guys have watched 'To Wong Foo, Thanks For Everything Julie Newmar' A great film which will make you laugh and cry, and seeing Patrick Swayze and Wesley Snipes in drag is just an added bonus (how dare they have legs that good...lol) |

I'm with Fiona on A Matter of Life or Death. With Chris on Its a Wonderful Life. Also love Field of Dreams, Gladiator, The Fifth Element, Mrs Miniver,
Dirty Dancing, High Society and the original non musical version Philadelphia Story, A Canterbury Tale and Life of Brian.
