Posts: 332 (08/12/2007 15:17:32) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts Report Post	Tags : None Moved into my daughter's house a week yesterday (we are splitting rent between us), couldn't move everything so went back to our old house yesterday to get more things (have been ill with a chest infection all week so not felt up to it) and the house had been broken into! PC tower and Paul's Hi-Fi have been taken! So will only be able to come on here via the library until we can afford a new PC! Also ex-landlord chasing us for rent owing, asked for a statement for the whole tenancy and what do I find? £500.00 housing benefit not credited to our rent account (yes they have received it) so we don't owe anything. I am ready for one almighty row when we see him on Monday, the worry over this has caused me to be ill and we were without hot water for over 16 weeks as he wouldn't install a new boiler as we "owed" money. I am so fed up and angry! Elaine x

I would be too. Some lazy good for nothing has helped himself rather than work to buy what he wants. Are you insured? As for your landlord, well, better not go there, I may forget this is an open forum and I wouldn't like youngsters reading what I think of your landlord! And what a damn scumbag of a landlord too!! I hope their by b*s drop off. Apologies for my language but it just makes me so mad. With regard to the insurance, you should be covered by insurance (you certainly are when you go on holiday) they only quibble if the house is left unoccupied for long periods of time.
