It will probably be the best turkey they have ever tasted.

LOL I did that last year but it was still frozen it smashed my newly tiled floor so this year my friend who lives next door & tiled my floor carried the
turkey in & put it in the freezer, might even get OH or him to put it in the oven to save the tiles lol.xxx

Are you sure it wasn't trying to do a runner? Might need a padlock on that oven door.
I washed the kitchen floor specially so if anything essential lands on it tomorrow it can be recovered
They say our homes are too clean these days anyway

We won't tell anybody Jacqui - says she who was cursing earlier when the gammon plopped back into the saucepan as I was lifiting it out! that was me and
the floor smothered with yucky stuff - fortunately I hadn't got round to putting the mat near the sink into the washing machine - phew - glad I didn't
put it in machine yesterday!

Sorry but it's the way you tell them. Once did that as a newly wed with a corned beef and potatoe pie - not a pretty sight and totally non-recoverable, thinkwe ended up with beans on toast |

well I'm glad it gave you a laugh.
It reminded me of Christine Coleman saying about ink, a few mls in the bottle, knock it over and there's a pint! I dread to think what it would have been like if I'd dropped it the first time I basted it, it was swimming!! Good job I'd drained most of it off. Hope you didn't get burned Mags, and you're right, that IS yukky stuff! HAVE A LOVELY DAY TOMORROW, all of you, AM GOING TO HAVE AN EARLY NIGHT, SO good night GOD BLESS, HAPPY CRISTMAS xx |

LOL a few years back I was trying to get big bird out of the roasting tin. I had put the tin on top of the cooker and wanted to put the bird on a rack to
drain. I tried to lift this thing and it was so damn big and heavy. I heaved one way, then another (the lads were at the pub) and with a final heave, the
turkey moved to the edge of the tin, the tin tipped up, fat splattered all over me and the floor and the blooming legs fell off! I was trying to grab the legs
before they hit the floor and was sliding all over the place like an ice rink. to say the air was blue was an understatement. Aidan will not let me near the
turkey anymore lol.

Have you heard about the hostess who brought in the meat at a dinner party and dropped it? Smiling sweetly she said 'Oh dear, I'd better go and get the
other one!' went back to the kitchen and came back with the same joint. No one said a word........
