my granny's contribution to that one - red and green should never be seen except on the head of an irish colleen (I assume that was allowing a stunning
irish red head to wear an emerald green scarf lololol)
they were a funny ole bunch weren't they! |

Jak, love the cards you made, that teabag fold bodice is fantastic, I've not seen that before.
I agree with Joanna about superstitions - it's too easy to start blaming your troubles on that crack you stepped on or the single magpie you didn't greet properly! I always used to greet a lone magpie with "how's your wife and daughters" until I decided that I wasn't going to be superstitious anymore. I think it might be hindus that believe that peacocks bring good fortune? I remember being told you shouldn't dress a new baby in green and green was unlucky for a wedding. Maybe it's got something to do with the Green Man? It does seem strange that in this green and pleasant land, there are so many prohibitions against that colour! I just love the sleek elegance of the peacock image and for a crafter it's a chance to play with a gorgeous colour palette. Glenda |

I love these stamps too....but unfortunately my 'one day' list grows ever longer. I just hope they don't 'retire' before they get nearer
the top!
