Just dropping by to say a quick hello, I haven't managed to get on since my exams as it was back to uni last week and it's been total chaos ever since.
They've decided to pile on the work this term and want a field report from our summer excavation experiences by Thursday. We should have been told about
this apparently BEFORE we went in the summer and nobody checked to see if we could access the universities ridiculous system. First we all knew was last
week when they dropped this on us. They wanted dated evidence, well too late for that so they've had to change the rules. Honestly you'd think if it
was so important they would make sure we got hard copies instead of trying to penny pinch all the time and rely on a system that they know only works properly
half the time.
I've also got to choose my dissertation topic for next year in the next month and write a feasibility study, I've been in such a panic it's scary
Plus I decided I didn't like one of the modules I'd chosen so
I went to switch and couldn't take the one I wanted without switching my degree from a BA in Archaeology to a BSc in Archaeological science, so I've
been running around like an headless chicken trying to get that sorted. I'll be glad when it's Easter
We are also trying to get a mutual exchange with another couple, we live in a council house and want to move back to the village I come from. I put in a form before Christmas and hadn't heard anything from the council so phoned them on Friday to be told that they had LOST our form so I had to send in another one, the couple we are swapping with have a baby on the way which is due around April so we wanted to get this out of they way so the poor girl can get settled before the baby comes. I can't see that happening now, I am beginning to really hate red tape!!
Anyhoo sorry for the long winded rant, I know I haven't been a member long but I miss popping on to see what everyone is up to.

I'd completely forgotten about it, it was a friend who emailed
