In the "good morning " post there is a thread by me that is not supposed to be there, it should be here. I asked "what is it that everyone sees
in the "Tilda" stamps? I must be the only "Sheenie" not to own one. Sorry, but I don't see what makes this stamp so special, could
someone explain the fascination for "Tilda" to me? Love, Hilary

Well I first thought what`s all the fuss about and then saw a link for the Tilda challenge and for the Tilda`s in Joanna Gallery and got what all the fuss was
about
They are just a fun way to play about with different ideas and moods - I got a few yesterday - well just have to tell Kris they are for Erin`s craft box !!!!! - but i`m sure in a while we can both enjoy these timeless images - a lot of them remind me of patchwork dolls I had when I was small Suzanne |

I don't have any either - the images are very cute, and I loved the card of tilda on a swing that (I think it was) Violafreckles made for a challenge to
use string on a card.

Well speaking for myself, I find them very cute, but also so adaptable. You can use them for all ages and sexes., and all occasions Plus you can use your
imagination with them, so many Sheenies making cards with them yet all are so different.
I think it is good though that we all like different things, life would be boring if we all liked the same thing. What sort of things do you like to use when making cards Hilary? Eli xx |

I have removed it from the good morning thread Hilary.

The images are cute, but I don't have any either, yet. I'm not too keen on the lack of a mouth, somehow. I prefer the 'extras' stamps in this
range, like the sign-post and trees.
I may yet get one, though,
because I like the ones that you can sit on the bench, and some of the sample cards are lovely. I also quite like the dog, cat and horse. See, I am talking
myself into buying one, now!

Thanks Tina, my goodness your on the ball this morning. Whatever it is that keeps you on your toes, can I have some, pleeeease? My goodness if you could
bottle it you'd make a fortune. Now to answer the question, about what I like, ummm!!!! Well apart from Joanna's new cd, which I love, I like
Oriental, Egyptian and Medieval images. I love decoupage, stamping/embossing, I also like the Glitter Girls boards, particularly the Bookartix and the new
one. They are so versatile. I think I will have to buy a "Tilda" and try for myself. love, Hilary

I don't have any, while I find them sort of cute, they are not my cup of tea at all - but if we all liked the same thing, well,

I'm a bit like you Hilary I like to try lots of things.
I thing my favourite thing changes like the weather, it also depends on who I am making a card for as to what I theme it on and what I use. I have sometimes made cards that I am not too keen on but the recipient loved it, especially when the recipient is a 14 yr old Goth who loves spiders, so the Rock Hard fairies came in handy for that one

I'm so glad I'm not alone. I had visions of being banished to the naughty step, never to be seen again.
Phew! That's a relief. One craft I wish I could do is parchment work.
When I see Christine Coleman's work, I go green with envy. It's just a case of buying the tools etc., and what if I didn't like it, that's
what stops me having a go. Anyone else wish they could do something, but then thinks twice about it before starting. Love, Hilary

I'm another who would love to do parchment craft, the samples I have seen from Christine and from a lot of you talented parchmenters are truly amazing. I
know, however, that (a) I don't have the patience (b) I don't have the time and (c) I would rather spend the money on other things which I KNOW I can
do. However, it is on my wishlist for retirement in eight years time!!! lol

I love Tilda because the stamps are so versatile and the extras just stretch the boundries, she also reminds me of the charactors in my favourite books as a
child 'The Moomintrolls'. Does anyone else remember them? I often make cards for customers in styles I don't particularly favour but these are for
me, me, MEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!
Its alright to like different things, I like Egyptian, Keepsakeboards, and Victorian too |

You are not alone, I don't have any either, but I do think they are cute and people have made some lovely cards using them.

You're not alone Hilary - I don't have any either. Even though I've loved the cards I've seen using them, I can't think of a situation that
I would use them for.

I love the idea of the Tilda extras like the house/town and the trees and the new hay bale and sheep etc .... but yes we have to try and have a broad range of
bits and pieces as everyone likes something different ... my least favourite craft products in the entire universe are glue dots (work of the devil) and
anything that involves a needle or sewing - but they are hugely popular - so it just goes to show - luckily we are all different!
I quite like cds .... oops you might know that already

I don't own any Tilda Stamps either, but I can't wait till the Bear stamps arrive. I think it depends on the type of card you make as to whether you
use a stamp often or not. But they are nice . Hugs Rita xx

I have a few Tildas now and agree they are very versatile....the extras are great too. They are easy to colour and great for paper piecing.

I don't like Tilda at all either. Sorry. But I love the little girl featured in the elzybells stamps. She has entire galleries of cards devoted to her. I'd love it if Joanna could stock those stamps |
