Just heard a strange clumpitty thump!, and saw my big black bin go flying down the road! PHEW!! have we got wind here tonight or
what??!!
Well I hope it doesn't go too far cos it's bucketting down and there's NO way I'm chasing after it, not at this time of the morning anyway! Night night ladies, be safe! xx |

There are very strong winds in London. I only hope that if there's any damage it's not just a few roof tiles that go. I quite fancy a new roof - but
only if the insurance is paying

yes it's blowing a gale here too. I can't remember it being as windy as it's been lately.

Hope the wind has dropped in the UK it certainly sounds like it has flown over the sea by the way my outside blinds are rattling

Well, it's 6 a.m. and the wind is still gusting quite strongly. Just peered out of the kitchen window to check that everything's still standing in the
garden and, fortunately, it is! The wind woke me this morning howling down my bedroom chimney, so decided to get up. Hope it settles down later as I have to
go out. So, if you see me flying by on my broomstick, give me a wave!!!

Part of my fencing broke loose, my very kind neighbour has been round to put it back. B....y winds.

 never thought of that Pat.
Still very blowy here today, went and retrieved my bin, it got stuck by a tree. Over the road to me is a wasing line, and there are 3 pairs of jeans at intervals down the road! One pair won't need ironing, they've been "run over" umpteen times this morning! I can't believe someone doesn't know their washing has gone flying!! (duh!!)

We have had gale force winds and although they have died down a little it is still blowing strong. We have lost loads of tiles and ridge tiles off the roof
that I have to ring my insurers on Monday. We have lost our green bin and the other bin hit hubby's car and left a little dent. It was so frightening.
My Neighbour has lost her summer gazebo, it just demolished it. I think the builders and insurances are going to be so busy.
