Thank you Jen for such a lovely thread. It's almost 11 years since I lost Mum but never a day goes past that I don't think of her. Life is never the
same when you don't have your best friend.
love to all on this special day Anne -x- |

Thanks for starting this thread Jen, I lost my mother when I was 14 years old so Mothers day has always been a sad day for me and that was 31 years ago now.
But, I was blessed because I had a much older big sister who was fantastic. Mum, big sister and best friend rolled into one and I was always a daddies girl so
they were a big help. Sadly I lost my sister in december 2003 and my father in july 2006. So now I have two wonderful women to thank and think of today. Its
been good to read of others in the same boat.
Kind regards Amanda |

My Mum died when I was only 4 so I didnt really know her,but it still hurt that I have never been able to send a Mothers day card, when any of my friends have
a little moan about their mums I allways tell them how lucky they are to still have her

Bless you Jen for starting this thread. I lost my Mum 2 months ago," Oh to pick up the phone and have one of our long chats putting the world to
right's", today has been touched with sadness, but have heard from my children and grandchildren, so plenty of phone calls and love, I am a blest Mum
and Grandie. Love and hugs to those like me who have lost their Mums, and also to Mums who have children serving there country away from home, love and hugs
to all of you, Caz.

Thanks for the thread Jen lovely thought. Had a lousy day. Lost Mum two years ago. Not a word so far from any of my three sons and my darling!!! ex-husband
came to the door expecting me to sort through photographs for him to take away. Think I'll open some wine.......

I lost my Mum 21 years ago. 15 years ago my Dad married again and although he only lived another 2 years my Step mum is very much a part of our family - and
refers to my sister and I as her daughters - she didn't have any children from her first marriage - so she reckons she gained children and grandchildren
the easy way! And she appreciated her Mother's Day card etc.

Thanks Jen for starting this lovely thread ... I lost my Mum nearly 15 years ago. Although I have two grown up children (31 and 28) I always thought of
Mothering Sunday as a special day for my Mum and not a day for me! It is only in the last few years that I have been to see the day is for me too. I have been
to the crematorium today with my daughter and taken some flowers ... it is still hard, I still think of her daily and like others I often think, I will tell
Mum so and so etc. Sending hugs to all that have lost their Mums and to Mums that have sadly lost their little and not so little ones.
