Oh Janet I'm sorry to hear your news. The 17th must seem so far away for you right now. Please tell your hubby and mum, they can give you so much support.

I know exactly how you are feeling. At least you have made the steps to go to the doctors to get this sorted and technology is such that marvelous things can be done if required. please accept some of our strength, treatment seems to go quickly and before you know it it's 6 months down the line,
but i will admit the intial shock is a bit flooring |

Janet I agree with Nikki about the initial shock and the treatment time going quickly, if needed. We are now over 3 years down the line from OH's then
devastating news!
Also, they do have to have you seen at the hospital within 2 weeks now as a precaution. So your GP may just be following those guidelines to get you seen and put your mind at rest. Hopefully it will not be as bad as one always expects. Please don't keep it to yourself. Did that myself once and it's worse. Your Hubby and Mum will be a geat support while you are worried. Sorry to hear what has happened, do tell your family - they will help you through it.
My friend has just gone through a similar situation, thankfully proved to be nothing serious. Hope it turns out the same for you. |

Janet, this happened to me too, it is like a punch in the chest, you just can't seem to drag any air into your lungs, or think straight either. You do need
to tell your OH and your Mum, for your own sake. I was so lucky, there proved to be no cancer in my case, so try not to see things blacker than they might be.

Sorry to read your news Janet, but think positive, I know it's hard and a terrible shock but hopefully it will turn out to be a harmless cyst and nothing
to worry about. Once you have told your husband and Mum that will also lift a huge weight of your mind.
