Whoops ... sorry for posting this in the wrong section last night ... and apologies if you've already read it ...
After promising myself that I'd join the forum for AGES I've just ordered some bits and bobs from the shop and decided now is as good a time as
any.
My name is Sue and I live in the chilly North East of England with my hubby (a Leeds lad) and my black and tan working cocker spaniel (C.J.) who celebrated her first birthday on New Year's Eve.
After 18 years working for HMRC (boo!) I left in June 2006 to start up my own business which I run from home ... it's fantastic being my own boss and I wish I'd had the nerve to do it years ago.
I've always done some form of craft and mum encouraged us to do all things arty so card making was a natural progression really.
Having caught the bug I roped mum in to card making and she has also embraced the whole scrapbook phenomenon.
Mum and I are terrible bad influences on each other ... one of us will say "That's it I'm not buying any more for a while!" and then the other will cave in.
This year's resolution was not to buy any craft stuff during January ... I lasted until January the 11th and saw Glenda demonstrating her A4 fancy mandala theme plate and that was it ... down hill all the way after that!
Hubby regularly flips about my increasing craft stash and just as regularly I sneak new bits in to the house.
Anyway enough waffle ... I must go and make a card for my uncle's birthday.
I'm pleased to finally be a part of Joanna's merry band.
