Batten down the hatches...... I live in mobile home and it gets a little scary when the high winds come.

OMG!!! More strong winds?
The last VERY windy night 2 years ago moved my workshop 12" off the struts, even with all the heavy gym equipment in it and most of my craft stuff? We were out from 3am trying to push it back. HOW rediculous that seems now, but we were desperate for it not to topple over onto the cars on the drive! WE NEVER thought to move the cars???? I think we have secured it enough now, i hope? We also lost 100 trees along the valley where i live and the roads were cut off both ways for days while they dealt with them! I pity the people who will be affcted by all this coming adverse weather? Batten down your hatches folks? Hugs Pammi |

Well we've had a very mixed day form gardening in beautiful sunshine almost to hot to walking the dog after a hail storm and wrapped up against a cold
wind. That's in the Dales.
Hope all is well for you tonight Hazel7 and tha forcast winds don't arrive but listening to the news I fear they will.. I've got to drive OH 30 miles tomorrow Am to the station so He can go to Dunfermline that's if the west coast line stays open. Batten down everyone and keep safe. oldbee |

Just as a precaution I have been out and taken my 3 hanging baskets down and put all my pots with daffs in as near to the walls as I can. I suppose I will
have to move my dustbin into the passeagwaylater on just in case. Rather safe than sorry. I hate the wind more than anything. Can put up with most other
types of weather but find the wind frightening and always think about the tv aerial and sky dish as well as alates blowing off.
If it does turn out as bad as what they are predicitng hope you'll all be ok. Sandra |

Shall be thinking of those in the storm's path - batten down the hatches, tie up the bins and cosy up in the airing cupboard. Think Ireland will take the
brunt of the worst of it. And just for a nice change, we'll be in the eye of it or thereabouts. Keep safe folks.

We are driving to Somerset tomorrow for 4 days dancing in an old manor house on the Quantocks. We intended to stop for lunch at a pub near Stonehenge, in the
middle of Salisbury Plain: I can't help thinking that may not be the best idea of the century.......
