Have been to Holland a couple of times but have been disappointed with finding craft shops but cant say I looked when I was in Rotterdam and Amsterdam wasnt
with crafty people but did come across a nice craft stall in a market so maybe a place to look.

We went to Amsterdam last year and didn't come across any craft shops in the main shopping area. We have relatives who live in the south of the country and
the crafty shops near them seem to be in back streets hidden away so only the locals know where to find them! Local markets seem to be the best bet and very
cheap especially for decoupage and peel offs. May be try a google search??

There is a chain of craft stores called Pippoos - they have at least two shops in Rotterdam - and I am sure they will have a shop in Amsterdam too. If you are
into scrapbooking there is also a really good scrapbooking shop in Rotterdam. Apart from this there is also some Poundland style shops - but not necessarily
all at one pound - and they often have craft items too. One of those chains is called Kruidwat or something like that. They do a lot of toiletries but then
in-between they have some cheap craft items. PM me if you need other information. Have a fun time - you'll find lots of craft shops there. I can also
recommend their craft shows in Holland if there happen to be one on when you go. Went to one last year and it was fantastic. Winnie x

Yes In Amsterdam in the main square perhaps called damstrad or something like that. There is a post office you can't miss it. Now if you cross the road
from the post office and look a couple of hundred yards to the right you will see a shop called postumous (the guy in the post office directed us as we had
spent 2 days looking for it) It is tucked away and you can only really see it from this point. Has loads of stamps about 3 rooms of them if I remember
correctly There is a cash point nearby on route to it which proved very detrimental to hubby's finances.
Just remebered I have the details www.posthumuswinkel.nl sint Luciensteeg 23-25 (zijstraat Kalverstraat 1012 pm Amsterdam Carole |

HI, I have been to this shop,
".Just remebered I have the details www.posthumuswinkel.nl sint Luciensteeg 23-25 (zijstraat Kalverstraat 1012 pm Amsterdam Carole " Has loads of stamps, great shop also quite a few embellishments ,but not any papers to speak of.But on one of the main streets next to the main canal there is a shop called "Viglers" that has a great selection of papers of all types and also lots of artist equipment ie canvas, paints ,pens ect. as well as embellishments. But to be honest not cheap. I had a look for other craft shops in Amsterdam and did not find any,but definitely the stamp shop is a great visit.. elaine mac |
