My sister was made redundant and was out of work for nearly a year. As the unemployed are always being told any job is better than no job, however just any job doesn't pay the bills. So, she has had to take a complete change of career and is on a low wage. Now she qualifies to apply for Working Tax Credit and this is where the problem starts.
She can't find her wage slips for the 2006 tax year. She has contacted the company she worked for several times and they aren't helping her. Is there another way of finding the information she needs? Would the IR help?
Advice would be appreciated as it would restore domestic harmony.
