Where the water hose connects to the washing machine, is there a tiny little blank in the metal fitting?
I had an indesit once that had bolts in it that stabalized the drum for travel, which had to be removed and before you connected the water hoses to the outlets on the machine you had to remove two tiny little blanks that were there to stop anything crawling into the water inlets.
If you've used the new water hoses that came with the machine, they could be blocked.
