decorative folkart painting,im a certified instructor of Donna Dewberry s onestroke painting,ive done this type of painting on
cards incorperating cds ect as well as atcs,l have made my own incerts painted my hallway many times,there should be renewed interest shortly in this painting
as DD will be on a tv channel in may,l like different styles of decorative painting ,and just wondered if any of you painted what ever style or medium used.

i did a lot of large artwork in my bedroom at my parent shome before i got married. I also love watercolour, would love to try others styles and techniques
too.

l forgot about Joanna being certified lol she was at certification the same time as l was.its a good style of decorative painting to get

Ohh yess as Tina says me too me too! Where you at the Nottingham weekend all those years ago where Steph organised a Donna visit?
It breaks my heart i don't have time for all the things I love - I have my little stash for *if time* in a cupboard and I have all my paints and brushes and patterns - so wish i could do more - do you mix it with card making - it can make the most stunning cards - I have got my Mum doing it which is one good thing - she doesn;t do lots but she has made such pretty things to have round the house - she made my suster a STUNNING enamel container to keep her washing up brushes etc in at the sink ..... shame my sis forgot and out it in the dishwasher - hey ho ... hopefully she make her another! Do let us see some bits of your work - I just love it so much

I have booked twice at my local craft shop for a one stroke painting class, but twice it was cancelled. I watched Stephanie Weightman do it at the C & C
weekend last year and thought I would like to give it a try. I must book another class when they organise another weekend one.

Hi Joanna ,yes l was there at centre parks in sherwood forest,it was the start of my passion for painting tho l have learned other styles now,,, l think
onestroke is good for a first time painter,ive painted allsorts from cards to atcs shortly it will be my garden pots,and hopefully soon in may DD will be back
in the uk with new paint kits,so we may have some renewed interest in decorative painting,l will shortly put some of my stuff in the gallery,im allso into
machine embrodery which ive done on cards and atcs allso.

I'm sitting here thinking about my painting stuff now wondering if I have time tomorrow to get it all out - did have so much fun ...

I took certification too in the same weekend. Small world isn't it? I don't paint anymore,which is a shame really.I did take a Ross Stallcup class
when she was over here as I like her style better,softer lines and a lot more realistic.

I got hooked on it when Donna appeared regularly on QVC buying everything she bought over. I have some lovely bits that I've
decorated, and made presents etc for people. I've sold quite a few bits too. I haven't incorporated it in my cards, as yet, but I do love to do it.

Oh Annie!! Do you have any plans to come to Weston on holiday this year? I've been hoping to find a Donna Dewberry teacher for a couple of years but seems
there isn't anyone in this area. Bought paints, brushes and a book and decided to teach myself but (and I blame it on being left-handed) the results were
just dire!! Let's hope Donna's forthcoming tv appearance will indeed spark new interest in this method of painting and a teacher will magically appear
in this part of the world!
