The hall was packed and we all had a good natter and the refreshments went down well. They do seem to get a lot out of these meetings I am wary as the nurse said she had flu, but Jill on our committee who works at the same hospital said she was at work just fine Now we have a consultant coming in October, he is linked to this nurse so he had better turn up or I will not send the boys round, I will send the Sheenies round!!! a force to be reckoned with

Posts: 57 (09/04/2008 10:02:09) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts Report Post	l set up and ran a support group for parents with children with various disabilitys,l know how you and the group must feel,many times l arranged quest speakers only for them to cancel at the last mimute,l think for ,l,some its just a pay check,l think Joannas idea is a good one send her the mins of the meeting and a brief run down of how thease meetings meen so much to people,ask her if there is someone who could stand in for her if she couldent make anyfurther meetings,l would allso go above her head to see who could possibly be invited in her place. As for the nurse, she hounded me for months to arrange this, so i wasn't happy with her. Next time she will just have to take her chances as I won't be sending out more letters.

Glad your group wnet well, depsite the nurse's non attendance and good luck with the next meeting.
