And there is quite a police presence about. One road is cordoned off and all the emergency services are there ... no idea what is going on!

Sounds a bit worrying, I know they usually have a few police around, but that sounds like either
another accident, or something nasty. Trouble is you don't always hear about what goes on unless you get the local paper. Hugs, Tee |

it's at the end of Victoria Road, where my office is. When I drove
towards the traffic lights I could see a plume of thick grey smoke and there were 2 fire engines and a lot of police presence! An hour later, it was still
cordoned off - none the wiser! I am guessing a car caught fire?

Not actually sure Donna. Many of the hospitals have been closed and one opened called Queens which is a bit of a joke. Even the staff hate it!

Well really! Come on here with half a story and have us all sitting on the edge of our seats wondering what it was all about.

I'm halfway down, the other side of the traffic lights. Someone has just come in from down there and apparently there was a fire in one of the flats above the shops. |

Oh, I was born in Oldchurch Hospital and my lovely friend was treated there when she broke her back - it was starting to look a bit crumbly then though.
I hope nobody was injured in the fire. Donna X |
