I would say deciding to demonstrate a card that is fairly simple to make for a start as you want to encourage people to try themselves. 2 Be well prepared with everything you need at the ready. If you are layering paper I would have all the correct sizes cut out in advance as if you are nervous it can be daunting doing this with your hands shaking. Depending on the number of people there----- maybe have some spares so if some women there would like to make a card they have the oppertunity to do it.The demonstrations I have had allowed me to make my own card and I was like a child so happy with my achievement. Not everyone in the group will want to do it so perhaps have enough for a certain no of women to try out and to cover your costs you could tell them they will have to pay /? extra If they are keen they wont mind.
I demonstrated Iris folding to a small group and it went well I gave them an apperture card each and they all made one on the night. I photocopied the pattern so they all had an oppertunity to make more if they wanted later.It cost me but I didnt mind as I KNEW HOW HAPPY i was with the first one I made while on a cruise.
