I'm as bad for books as I am card,
Patricia Cornwell, Kathy Reichs, Faye Kellerman, Ian Rankin, Lee Childs, etc if I want thriller/crime For the romantic horror Kim Harrison, Christine Feehan, Sherilyn Kenyon, Patricia Briggs, Kresley Cole, Laurell Hamilton, Karen Chance, Kelley Armstrong, CHarlaine Harris, Lynn Viehl and loads more. I'm still rather partial to the oldies, Dean Koontz, Stephen King, James Herbert etc and childrens writers Enid Blyton, Roald Dahl etc Favourite has to be Harry Potter though

I'm afraid I don't read alot these days. I have several books sitting waiting to be read, but when I have any spare time I tend to make cards and
watch C & C. One of the books I really must get down to reading is Sovereign by C J Sansom. I started it months ago and then left it gathering dust under
the bed!
It is supposed to be a brilliant book, but, I think, the
third in a series, so maybe I should read the other two first........no time, no time.......
Anne
PS Just remembered a brilliant series of books I read years ago. The first book was called Duncton Wood and there were three or four others in the series. All the characters are moles, yes moles! ; a bit like Watership Down, I
suppose, but with moles! They are in no way children's books, and some of the characters are evil, but I don't think I ever enjoyed a series of books
more. The author is William Horwood.

Last year I gave away over 800 books, a lot to friends but most to charity shops. I could never part with a book after finishing it, but oh said the ceilings
were sagging with the weight in the loft. Over the years I've read lots of different authors. John le Carre, Sydney Sheldon, Jack Higgins, Frederick
Forsyth, Lyn Andrews, Anne Baker, Meg Hutchinson, Josephine Cox, Emma Blair, Neville Shute, James Patterson, Jeffery Deaver and loads more. I am very good now,
I keep a carrier bag in the cupboard and when that is full I take it down to the charity shop. Will have to take look at the book swap. I only read in bed for
about an hour, find it helps me to unwind.

Another Anya Seton fan here. Green Darkness is my absolute favourite book. At the moment I'm reading White Nights by Anne Cleeves. It's a
detective story set here in Shetland, but I keep getting distracted trying to work out where the locations might be |

Irene! The Kurt Wallander books, by Henning Mankell, are just the best detective stories there are! ok , so I am a bit biased since they are situated in the
southernmost county in Sweden, The one I live in! And I know many of the places they describe in the books!Ystad is a beautiful town! Full of history!
Otherwise I read just about everything! At the moment I am re-reading James Clavells "Shogun", I love the Harry Potter books, and since I am very interested in history, I love Lindsey Davies and Stephen Saylors books about detectives in Ancient Rome, I like Ellis peters books about the medieval monk, and I have just bought a full series of books about celtic Ireland, by Peter Tremayne...I love also books of Ludlum, and other "action" books.... When I've time I love reading anything but particularly historical novels such as the likes of Daphne Du Maurier also like Sophie Kinsella, Joanna
Trollope, John Grisham and many many others - used to be a bookworm before I became cross-stitcher and subsequently a card crafter!!LOL!!
Just picked up four books for 50p each - Celia Brayfield - "Mister Fabulous and Friends" and "Getting Home" and Joanna Trollope's "Brother & Sister" and Will Adams "The Alexander Cipher" (proceeds going to cancer charity) for my holidays as I can't just lie and sunbathe and weight limits on luggage prevents me taking any crafting goodies! but may well buy some crafting stuff if I come across any!!! Martina Cole, Jeffrey Archer and saw Cecelia Ahern (daughter of Bertie Ahern) on Loose Women the other day, liked the sound of her books. Anyone read any of
hers, if so what did you think of them.
