I have decided I need to get a wireless network set up, so please can some kind Sheenie give me some help please as to what equipment I need. I was going
to wait until my Nephew came home from uni for a weekend but he's not coming home until the end of May

We have had a Netgear wireless router for nearly 2 years running 3 computers usually and had no problems ar all, fairly easy to set up as well. Forgot to say
we got it from PC world only about £30 +

I have Netgear too, I wouldn't have the first idea how to set anything up though. Suzi Q is at this moment setting hers up, so with a

Im with Orange and all i had to do was phone them up and they talked me throught it,glad i did as pc world was telling me that i had to get rid of my orange
live box and buy router etc from them
could of cost me a fortune but thankfully i fone orange and they said i had all i needed and like i said talked me through it,,was sooo easy once you know how

I changed to Talk Talk and bought thewireless box from them it all came with a setup disc
and i managed to follow the set up instructions ( was proud of myself because i'm stupid as far as computers are concerned ) hubby says i only know how to spend Kathleen x |

We have Linksy router. Bought it on special from Maplins. Was just plug and play using an installation disc. Dead easy. Has been going for more than 2 years.
It plugs into the modem from NTL and sends a signal to 2 laptops and a desktop spread over the house. Works really well.

I threatened to leave Orange to find a cheaper deal and they bent over backwards to keep me, halved my monthly fee for broadband, sent me a free wireless
router and gave me 3 months free broadband. So the moral of the tale is kick up, make a fuss and get a better deal. I was about to spend £40 on a wireless
router now have one for free. it works a treat, I craft and use my laptop by my side all day long.... perfect.

I'm with virgin and they just sent me a wireless router. Was stupidly easy to set up, just ran the disk in my machine then all the laptops found the
network as soon as they started up. For the machines that dont have wireless I just got cheap netgear adapters (about 14 each) which pick up the signal. I
was wishing I did it years ago but hubby doing psp lessons in bed at 1am and asking me questions cuz he's too lazy to read the instructions is driving me
loopy.

I've got netgear as well, I run two computers off it. Haven't had any problems with it. One of my daughters has the 3 in 1 deal from Sky and is quite
happy with it
